Notice of Public Hearing

Construction of New Well No. 11

Borough of Seaside Park

County of Ocean, New Jersey

 

The Borough of Seaside Park (Borough) will hold a Public Hearing for the proposed project of Well No. 11, as described below, at the Borough Council Meeting Room located at Sixth & Central Avenues, Seaside Park, NJ 08752 on November 7, 2024 at 7:00 pm.  All members of the public are invited to attend.  The Public Hearing is required in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:22-10.10(b)1.  The Borough is seeking loan funds through the New Jersey Water Bank (NJWB).  The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has reviewed the documentation for the proposed NJWB Project No. 1527001-005 and has determined that this project warrants a Level 2 Environmental Review to qualify for NJWB assistance.  The proposed project will be completed in two phases.  Phase 1 shall include the installation of a new test well at 1505 N. Ocean Avenue Seaside Park, NJ.  Phase 2 will entail the demolition of the existing structure and conversion of the test well into a public drinking well, Well No. 11, with a new well house and generator on site, followed by the decommissioning of Well No. 10 located at 1616 Lake Ave Seaside Park, NJ. The total cost of the project is anticipated to equal $1,050,150.  Project planning documents are available for review at the Borough Hall, 1701 North Ocean Ave Seaside Park, NJ 08752, or on the Borough website at https://www.seasideparknj.org/. Please be advised that construction activities for the North Ocean Ave Water Main Replacement Phase 3B are about to begin.

WE WILL BE WORKING ON N. OCEAN AVENUE, BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF ISLAND AVENUE AND N. OCEAN AVENUE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS CORRESPONDENCE IS TO ADVISE YOU THAT WEATHER PERMITTING, UNDERGROUND WATER MAIN & SERVICES WILL BE INSTALLED ON YOUR STREET.

FOR THE SAFETY OF BOTH RESIDENTS AND OUR WORK PERSONNEL PLEASE HAVE ALL VEHICLES REMOVED FROM YOUR STREET BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 AM TO 5:00 PM (MONDAY TO FRIDAY)

DURING CONSTRUCTION, THERE MAY BE PERIODS OF TIME WHERE SLIGHT DELAYS ARE EXPERIENCED. AS WITH ALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, WE URGE ALL RESIDENTS TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION IN AREAS OF CONSTRUCTION AND TO OBEY THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MEASURES THAT ARE IN PLACE. THE CONTRACTOR WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO KEEP THESE INTERRUPTIONS TO A MINIMUM AND COMPLETE THIS PROJECT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
