Construction of New Well No. 11

The Borough of Seaside Park (Borough) will hold a Public Hearing for the proposed project of Well No. 11, as described below, at the Borough Council Meeting Room located at Sixth & Central Avenues, Seaside Park, NJ 08752 on November 7, 2024 at 7:00 pm. All members of the public are invited to attend. The Public Hearing is required in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:22-10.10(b)1. The Borough is seeking loan funds through the New Jersey Water Bank (NJWB). The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has reviewed the documentation for the proposed NJWB Project No. 1527001-005 and has determined that this project warrants a Level 2 Environmental Review to qualify for NJWB assistance. The proposed project will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 shall include the installation of a new test well at 1505 N. Ocean Avenue Seaside Park, NJ. Phase 2 will entail the demolition of the existing structure and conversion of the test well into a public drinking well, Well No. 11, with a new well house and generator on site, followed by the decommissioning of Well No. 10 located at 1616 Lake Ave Seaside Park, NJ. The total cost of the project is anticipated to equal $1,050,150.
