In July 2021, P.L.2021, Ch.183 (Law) was enacted, requiring lead and galvanized service lines in their service area within 10 years to be replaced. Under the law, the Borough of Seaside Park is required to inventory public and private water services to identify all service line materials. The Borough’s water service line inventory is available at www.seasideparknj.org on the Water & Sewer Operations and Repairs Page. The current service line inventory identifies this address as an unknown material for the “PRIVATE WATER SERVICE” as identified in the image below.

In an effort to report all private water service line materials to the State of New Jersey, the Borough of Seaside Park is requesting you, the Homeowner, to inspect your current water service and determine the material that has been installed for your property.  In the link below this post, you will find pictures of the following water service materials:

  1. Copper Water Service
  2. Polyethylene (Plastic) Water Service
  3. Galvanized Water Service
  4. Lead Water Service

The Borough of Seaside Park is requesting that you complete a survey to help determine the material type of the private water service line at the property lot and block as identified on the mailing envelope. The survey can be completed by either using the provided QR Code (online https://arcg.is/1XLi0H0) or by returning the survey linked below to the Borough Hall, 1701 N. Ocean Avenue, Seaside Park, NJ 08752 with Address and Attention to: Joshua Fox, Water Superintendent.

For reporting purposes or to ask any questions regarding this matter, you can contact Joshua Fox the Borough of Seaside Park’s Water Superintendent via e-mail at jfox@seasideparknj.org.

Sincerely,

Joshua Fox, Water Superintendent
