For a successful Zoom virtual Court Appearance:
- Set up in a closed room with no noise or other people. Be sure to allow any connections to audio or video by “Zoom”
- Set your mic on mute (*6 if by phone) until you are ready to speak. Please be patient, virtual is new to all of us.
- Connect to the meeting using your real first and last name, as referenced on your notice, for the display so the court staff know you are present.
- If you are not successful with video, call the phone number listed to be able to have an audio hearing. Per AOC rules, audio and video recording of the proceedings are strictly prohibited. If you would like a copy of the proceeding, you can fill out a judiciary request form which can be found at New Jersey Courts online.
- What to do after your court appearance: If you were assessed fines as part of your sentence, you may go online immediately after the session to process your payment via NJMCDIRECT.COM.
