NJ Supreme Court Decision - Borough of Seaside Park v Shree Jyoti, LLC  (A-2-25)

On August 10, 2026, the New Jersey Supreme Court affirmed the Appellate Division ruling regarding Borough of Seaside Park v. Shree Jyoti, LLC (A-2-25) (089599), and found no support in the Local Lands and Buildings Law nor Eminent Domain Act that a municipality was required to set forth the particular purpose for a taking in the ordinance authorizing condemnation.
